Delete your Animango account

Two ways to do it, what goes, and what stays.

From inside the app

Open Animango, go to the Profile tab, and choose Delete account. Confirm when asked. It is immediate — there is no waiting period and nothing to wait for us to approve.

By email, if you no longer have the app

Email support@animango.com from the address you signed in with, and ask us to delete your account. Using the address you signed up with is how we confirm the account is yours; if you cannot, tell us your creator handle and we will find another way to check. We action these by hand, normally within a few days.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in. Your email address and the record held by our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Your creator identity. Your handle and display name.
• Everything personal to you. Reading positions and history, membership and purchase records held by us, creators you have blocked, and your activity.
• Your drafts. Anything you started and never published.

What stays, and why

Manga you already published stays up, moved to an anonymous creator instead of your handle. Other people may be part-way through reading it, and pulling published work off the shelf when someone leaves would tear holes in other readers’ libraries.

If you want your published work removed as well, say so in the same email to support@animango.com and we will do it. It is a separate request because it affects other people, not because we will argue about it.

Records we are required to keep — such as transaction records for tax and accounting — are retained for as long as the law requires. Deleted rows may also persist in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days, after which those backups are overwritten. Nothing in a backup is used to restore a deleted account.
